This month has been crazy.. I just got the Weddings in Houston magazine and saw that they not only published one of my weddings, I'm also in an article about wedding photography.. :) Vi and Mike are one of my favorite couples, so I'm really excited to see their wedding published. I'm completely honored and a little overwhelmed to have been published in 2 different magazines this month. It's always exciting to see your work in print! So I wanted to give a shout out to Weddings in Houston magazine! It really is a great resource for couples out their that are in their journey of putting together a wedding.. Here's a couple of pics of the wedding spread of Vi and Mike along with the article I'm in along with good friend and fellow photographers Adam Nyholt and Christine Tremoulet.

I'll be heading out of town for the week of Christmas.... soooo I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas..

Hey hey..just wanted to show you a couple of things that I got for the Christmas week thats coming up.. I frequent Catalina Coffee and Max and Sean over there showed me a grinder that is rock'n my world.. It's called a Hario Hand Mill. you see I love coffee, so much so, that I love the art of it. So when I got my hands on the grinder I had to get it. Now what's fun about the ginder is that it's a manual grinder, so I get to actually grind the beans. Now this takes a bit longer but it's totally worth it :) I also picked up a Frieling French Press. The beans are what really makes the coffee and Catalina coffee has some of the best beans around. Now the owner of Catalina roasts his own beans, and they are amazing.. Sean is also a roaster. He owns Fusion beans and I must say again, they are amazing. So the three tools together are an amazing team. Which by the way makes one incredible cup of coffee ;)

Here's some pics..

Now the other fun gadget I got is the Holga 120N camera.. This is a medium format film camera that I'm extremely excited about.. I can't wait to see the crazyness that comes from this cheap ($35.00) camera.. I will be posting what I come up with after the new year :)

_CSP1115-Edit1-1.jpg
so I will be enjoying my family and my new gadgets next week while I'm up in Golden Tx.. I can't wait..

I have some more fun news, but I think I'll wait to share it ;)

Have a great Friday!!

Look at this lil Gem that's in Houston Brides mag from the publishers of Houston magazine and Modern Luxury.. I got the honor to have a small lil snippet in the magazine this month with some of Houston's best.. They used one of my favorite bridal shots of all time in the article and took a lil quote from yours truly.. Anytime your work gets published its really an honor... well in my opinion anyways ;) Through this I've really gotten a chance to get to know the Editor-in-chief, Holly Crawford. The team they have over there is rock'n and can't wait to see what the future has in store ;)

The photo they used for the main shot is from Vanessa's Vintage Bridal Sesh.. you can click here to check out the session..

So here's a look at the magazine that's hitting the stands today. Go get cha one :)  The other rock'n photogs in the article are

Its been a great year.. I can't wait to see what's in store for 2010...

Over Thanksgiving I got the chance to go hang in Marfa Tx.. You either know about this place or you don't.. If you don't you need to get learned ;) Anyways, my good friends Josh and Brooke (along with their lil Stella) invited me to go spend Thanksgiving with them in Marfa.. and of course I said yes. Emily and Gaving were up in Wisconsin, so me and Jack headed out to Marfa. I left Houston at 9pm and arrived in Marfa the next morning at 6am.. Yeah, it was a long drive, but no worries I was twitt'n the whole way ;) It was one of the most relaxing times I've had in a while and getting the chance to hang with good friends over thanksgiving was awesome.. I'll post the thanksgiving dinner later but first, here's some random pics from the trip.. Did I say I love Marfa??

More to come soon...
